I hadn’t seen these before – a bunch of templates that AD have on their site as part of their ‘Complete User Experience’ training. I’ve only taken a look at one or two and I don’t think they’re that great… but could be a good starting point if you’re looking to start building up your templates.

This research “explored how many sites currently use breadcrumbs as a navigation element, what conventions have developed, and whether users notice, use, and understand what breadcrumbs are. “

A great post by Darren Rowse about a blog that he used to love that has sold out and let him down… (and also of the relationship between a blog and it’s readers).

Re: The Adaptive Path templates.
It’s important to know that, in the context of our workshop, such documentation and templates work well to help further the education we deliver. We released them as an act of good faith — we’ve got them lying around, they can be of use, let’s share them! You’re right that they probably don’t stand so well on their own.
hey Peter,
thanks for stopping by :)
I think it’s *great* that AP are sharing these templates. And as generic templates for training, they’re great tools. I find it really interesting to see other people’s templates. You can tell a lot about the way that people work from their templates I think.
I was probably a bit harsh to say that they’re not great – in the context that you’ve released them they are very helpful – I guess people should just be aware that they’re not the one-and-only ultimate template … templates should always be evolving I think – mine certainly do!
