links for 2 February 2006
Lots of linkage today – our creative team are working on a design review for the project I’m working on now and we needed some sites to review and potentially use as benchmarks. That meant that I got to play with some pretty gorgeous sites.
- This is not one of the gorgeous sites (although, it looks ok) and I haven’t had much of a look at it, but it does look like it may be a useful reference (tags: )
- As discussed below. (tags: )
- interesting in page tabbing (tags: )
- desktop widget displays images from flickr on your desktop. This looks really cool, but it only works on Mac. Bummer. (tags: )
- absolutely gorgeous design and imagery (tags: )
- nice flash site, great use of interaction and sound. (tags: )
- benchmark travel site (tags: )
- uses a ‘guided tour’ + explore using hotspots. Lots of voiceover. (tags: )
- interactive map navigation (tags: )
- (tags: )
- nice work with the big black pencil (tags: )
- people make their confessions on this site which is written on a hand then washed clean. Simple, useless, but fabulous (tags: )
- great flash ecommerce/shop site (tags: )
- adds a whole new dimension to typography (tags: )
- map based navigation (tags: )
- nice clear interaction using ‘offscreen’ space (tags: )
- shop interface with video (Flash) (tags: )
